KINGS OF PERGAMON. Attalos I, 241-197 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.97 g, 12 h), circa 241-235. Laureate head of Philetairos to right. Rev. ΦIΛETAIΡOΥ Athena enthroned left, resting her left elbow on shield and crowning dynastic name with a wreath held in her right hand; in background, spear; to outer left, cornucopiae; to inner left, monogram; to right, bow. SNG Paris 1622. Westermark Group VI.A (obverse die V.CI). Lightly toned. Minor marks and with a thin surface crack on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
